David and Cheryl Goosen

David is the General Manager of Sango as well as a licensed guide and Professional Hunter. David’s hobbies include abseiling, hiking, traditional archery and most things connected with the outdoors.

David’s wife, Cheryl, acts as David’s assistant and performs day to day office duties. Cheryl is also well-known among the Sango family for her scrumptious cookie recipe.

David and Cheryl have a daughter, Amy.

Dusty and Lourette Joubert

Dusty is our Ecological Manager at Sango. As well as his general work on ecology, Dusty also conducts research on leopards, with which he plans to attain his PhD.

Lourette is responsible for our IT, GIS (mapping) and financial records and has been responsible for much of the interior design and finishing of Sango Lodge and the Tented Camp.

Dusty and Lourette have two sons, Solly and Eli.

Jannie and Cathy Liebenberg

Jannie is a qualified Toyota mechanic and is responsible for the smooth running of all things mechanical on Sango.  He is also a keen fisherman, an excellent biltong maker and a very good cook.

Jannie’s wife, Cathy, manages our tented camp, looks after the wellbeing of Sango’s horses and oversees the vegetable garden which supplies the various kitchens on Sango.

Nevin and Lindsey Lees May

Nevin and Lindsey manage Sango Lodge. Between the two of them lies over 20 years of hospitality experience in Africa. Nevin is also a licensed guide and Professional Hunter. Both Nevin and Lindsey are keen anglers, bird watchers and nature lovers.

Tsumbei Nemabwe

Tsumbei is our Security Manager whose duties include anti-poaching and the management of a large game scout team. Tsumbei also assists with the collection of ecological information. Tsumbei is married and has four children.
